On behalf of APCG, we would like to wish all members and website visitors a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
We had a full day workshop with an instructor on our last ClayDay of the year. Everyone was taught how to make these floating pendants by Jude Parker. First we had to create a 'support' using scrap clay. Then cover it with a sheet of Skinner gradient blend. Jude had also demonstrated a gradient colour blend, from light to dark and how to make little ruffles to decorate our pieces with it. All of us had a go with our own geometric shapes in varied sizes and Skinner blend colours. The results are absolutely delightful! Many thanks to Jude who was very patient in teaching us on how to make these beautiful pendants. Even though it was a workshop day with a special guest, that doesn't mean that the usual ClayDay activities weren't available. There were all of our usual tables displaying members' recent makes, raffle, tool library and sale of cheap clay. It is always nice to see various items that were hand-made by our talented members. That wraps up Anglian Polymer Clay Guild's ClayDay for 2018! This was probably one of the guild's best year and we hope it will be even better for 2019 so make sure you mark your calendars:
